Catherine Mason received her BBA from the University of Michigan in 1991. She worked in the financial side of health care for many years, but wanted the chance to work hands-on with patients, so completed a Diagnostic Medical Sonagraphy program at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit in 2007. She has achieved her RDMS status, with certifications in OB/GYN, abdominal and general surgery. She has been with Oakland Macomb since 2011, prior to that she worked at area hospitals in general ultrasound and Maternal Fetal Medicine. She is married and has two children. She enjoys reading, musical theater, baseball/softball, watching movies, and, most importantly, anything in which her kids are involved.
Jen Melow has been with Oakland Macomb ever since we delivered her first baby in 2010. She had such a great experience, she wanted to join the team! She enjoys her career and her patients very much. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science from Siena Heights University. In her free time she enjoys traveling, eating good gluten-free food, and spending time with her husband and two children.
Susan Taft, graduated from Oakland Community College in 1997 with a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She has been with Oakland Macomb since 2010. She and her husband are proud parents of 3 daughters and 9 grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, traveling, beaches and sunshine.
Kate Diponio, registered sonographer in OBGYN since 1997, holds a Bachelor degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Siena Heights University. She has been with Oakland Macomb since 2006. She is an aspiring Master Gardner with special affinity toward hydrangeas, especially Pink Diamonds, and cares for a hydrangea haven.
Kim Gomez has been a registered sonographer for over 30 years, having graduated from Oakland Community College’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. She joined Oakland Macomb in 2014. She enjoys golf, attending concerts, participating in book club, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family.
