About Nicole Sovey, DNP, WHNP-BC

Nicole Sovey, DNP, WHNP-BC, is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., serving patients in Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan.

Nicole received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2014 with a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner specialty from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Afterward, she earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree in 2016. Upon graduating, she joined an OB/GYN practice in the DMC system before joining the team at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C.

She has a special interest in adolescent gynecology, the early formation of effective patient-provider relationships, contraception counseling, and reducing teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection rates. Nicole focuses on the most cutting-edge care for postmenopausal patients and those suffering from chronic pelvic pain and recurrent pelvic infections. She is skilled in multiple procedures, including administering Nexplanon® and intrauterine devices (IUDs).

Nicole has completed the Colposcopy Mentorship Program through the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP). She is an associate member of The International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP), Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH).

Outside of work, Nicole loves spending time with her husband and two daughters, preferably on the water. She also enjoys running, nature walks and staying fit.
