Surgeries and Procedures

In the office, with anesthesia services, we perform the following services, for appropriate patients:

Endometrial Ablation: “bleeding treated with no hormones and no hysterectomy – This is the goal of the Novasure Endometrial Ablation procedure. Generally taking about ninety seconds, the Novasure procedure is well-tolerated and requires minimal analgesia. Please visit the Novasure web-site and call to schedule a consultation.

Hysteroscopy, Dilation and Curettage, Polypectomy
Hysteroscopy– MD dilates the cervix, inserts narrow camera scope into the uterus for evaluation
Dilation and Curettage– MD dilates the cervix to use narrow instrument to remove the inside uterine lining
Polypectomy– MD dilates cervix to insert narrow camera scope AND instrument to remove uterine polyp
Colposcopy– evaluation of cervical tissue under a microscope, by MD
In the hospital…
We perform many procedures for patients that require them, after thorough evaluation and counseling in the office. Options and best approach will be specific to your diagnosis, health, history, family history, and other considerations and will always be discussed in office appointments prior to any procedures.
This includes:
Total hysterectomy (removal of cervix and uterus)- can be done from a vaginal approach, laparoscopically, laparoscopically with robotic assistance,  single-incision laparoscopic/robotically, and open abdominally, depending on what is most appropriate
Laparoscopy– evaluation/treatment of the inside of the pelvis/abdomen with a camera and several instrument ports (can include evaluation of/removal of fallopian tubes, ovaries, endometriosis, etc)
-Endometrial ablation, as above
-Dilation and Curettage, Hysteroscopy, Polypectomy, as above
-And more!
