Postcards from the Medical Outreach Team, Part 7
“Greetings from S. Africa!
Today was a day of rest and regrouping. I had an opportunity to lead devotionals today, where we looked at Exodus 14:13. (Thank you guys for praying for boldness).
“And Moses said to the people, ‘Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.”
I described how God rescued the Israelites in such a miraculous way. God wanted the Israelites and the Egyptians to know that He alone was the One who would rescue them. We then spent some time recalling how God has brought rescue in our own lives. It was an encouraging time to give God praise for His undeniable work in our lives.
We spent a few hours taking inventory of the remaining pills in our clinic in preparation for our remaining 3 clinics. Cathy, Sharon, and I looked at pediatric dosing in order to streamline our Tylenol/Ibuprofen administration. We plan to see around 450 children tomorrow so it’s important we make things simple in order to shuffle these kids through!
We spent the afternoon and evening at Richards Bay, spending an hour at the Indian Ocean. This was an awesome experience! It rained most of the day and the waters were rough. There was this blanket of mist over the beach. It was a perfect picture of God’s majesty and great power. Honestly, none of us were prepared to see a glimpse of what the Israelites may have seen thousands of years ago. It was a good day and we even saw dolphins! (That was pretty cool!)
We ended our day with two life tokens from Dakota and Megan. It was another opportunity to see God at work in each of our lives. He is doing some good things in a lot of our team members. Thank you for praying for that!
Tomorrow is our main kids clinic. Please pray for supernatural peace and divine strength/endurance to see all of these kids! Please continue to pray for precision and accuracy in diagnosis and drug distribution and God’s hand of blessing on each child.
Thank you for laboring in prayer on our behalf. Bless you.
Prasanth, for the team.”
