Lori Knoth, MSN, CNM, WHNP, received her master’s degree from Georgetown University, completing Certified Nurse-Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner training in 2016. Afterward, she practiced for three years in New Jersey with a private midwifery group attending hospital, free-standing birth center and home births, with a specialty in unmedicated birth, vaginal births after cesarean, and waterbirth.
Prior to becoming a Certified Nurse-Midwife, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University in 2008. She began her nursing career at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital in the Surgical ICU before moving to the east coast and practicing as a Certified Critical Care Nurse at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center’s Neuroscience/Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit for five years.
Lori is a member of Sigma Theta Tau (The International Honor Society of Nurses) and a member of the National Government Affairs Committee of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, with a goal of improving access to midwives in the US healthcare system on a legislative level.
When Lori isn’t providing excellent midwifery care, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, eating, musical theatre, and making people laugh!
