Stephanie Kennedy, MSN, CNM, received her master’s degree from Wayne State University, completing her Certified Nurse-Midwifery training in July of 2019. Prior to becoming a CNM, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing also from Wayne State University in 2014. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau (The International Honor Society of Nurses) as well as the American College of Nurse-Midwives. Shortly after graduating with her Bachelor’s degree she began her nursing career at Beaumont Royal Oak on a medical-surgical floor for a year and a half before switching to Labor and Delivery. She worked at Royal Oak’s labor and delivery unit for over 3 years while finishing her master’s degree where she fell in love with helping women bring their babies into the world.
She is enjoying being one of the newest members of Oakland Macomb’s excellent team of midwives and expanding her knowledge base and practice. Her professional passions include pregnancy, natural labor, as well as postpartum depression and anxiety. She is looking forward to meeting more patients and providing everyone she meets excellent care. Her personal passions include spending time with her family and children as well as staying active, running, and getting away for a weekend up north.
