Breast Center Polices

Payment Policy

Your diagnostic imaging costs are subject to deductible balances. If you have not met your deductible you will be responsible for payment at time of service.

Guest Policy

No children under the age of 12 are allowed to be unattended in the front lobby. An adult must be present with children at all times.

In order to provide the best care, only patients and one other guest over the age of 12 years old are allowed to be present during ultrasound appointments.

Due to radiation during mammogram exams, only approved caregivers will be permitted in the room with protective equipment.

You may be asked to reschedule if this policy cannot be adhered to.

Late Policy

If arriving after your appointment time or at the wrong location, our providers reserve the right to reschedule appointments to ensure you receive the best possible care.

If pre-registration is not completed prior to your scheduled appointment time you may be asked to reschedule.

Completing your pre-registration allows the provider and patient service staff to best prepare for your visit.

Please understand our practice will accommodate to the best of our ability.

Prior Imaging Policy

For comparison and accuracy of evaluating images, it crucial that prior imaging from outside facilities is received prior to patient appointment.

Patient is responsible for completing a Medical Release Form and/or providing reports and images at time of appointment.

Oakland Macomb Center for Breast Health will request images and reports once Medical Release Form is obtained.

If images and reports are not obtained prior to your scheduled appointment time you may be asked to reschedule.

Imaging Order Policy

Patient must present a physical copy of their order at time of appointment.

If patient has an annual women’s exam on the same day, order will be obtained in office.

If order is not presented at time of appointment, your appointment may be rescheduled.

American College of Radiology (ACR) Guidelines Policy

Oakland Macomb Center for Breast Health aligns all breast care services with established medical guidelines from the American College of Radiology (ACR), Society of Breast Imaging (SBI), and National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). This means we will provide screening breast ultrasound exams (both Handheld and Automated Whole Breast Ultrasound) only in conjunction with mammography when clinically indicated.

Mammography remains the most effective and proven method for breast cancer detection. As your dedicated breast health partner, we are committed to delivering care that offers you the breast possible outcomes.
