Position Overview
Daily direction will be provided by the Center’s Lead Breast Sonographer and Chief Radiologist. This role reports to the Center’s Manager. The position involves performing a variety of breast ultrasound procedures in an outpatient setting while maintaining high standards of customer service, kindness, and quality patient care.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality and efficient breast ultrasound examinations to support diagnostic evaluations.
- Assist radiologists during breast biopsies while following universal precautions.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any issues to leadership or service providers.
- Provide accurate, compassionate care to ensure patient safety, satisfaction, and service excellence.
- Support teamwork by assisting other staff as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Graduate from a CAAHEP-accredited School of Ultrasound.
- Registered and in good standing with ARDMS.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Proficient in PACS and EMR systems.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal, motivational, and positive communication skills.
- Ability to stay focused, calm, and unbiased during high-volume schedules and issue resolution.
Preferred Skills
- ARDMS Breast Certification.
Physical Environment
Medical practice setting with administrative centers and patient exam and procedure rooms in all centers. Office and medical/procedural equipment present.

- Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and bending at computer stations and patient care areas (up to 8 hours/day).
- Walking between patient care rooms and lab areas.
- Presence of clinical and administrative teams; not an isolated work environment.
