About Angela Viviano, MSN, FNP-C

Angela Viviano, MSN, FNP-C is a board certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in breast health including annual breast screening, high risk breast screening, and breast cancer surveillance. She also has a special interest in caring for women’s menopausal and sexual health needs.

Angela has been caring for women’s health needs since the beginning of her career over 25 years ago. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in the year 2000 at Michigan State University. She went on to accept her first job as a registered nurse in labor and delivery where she cared for women and their families for nearly 15 years.

Deciding she wanted to further her education, she went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing degree at South University to become a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She worked in private practice obstetrics and gynecology for several years caring for women’s gynecologic needs as well as for obstetric patients throughout their pregnancies. Most recently, she served as a Women’s Wellness Clinic provider at Karmanos Cancer Institute of Detroit, specializing primarily in breast health. She had a pivotal role in managing the high risk breast clinic with a focus on breast cancer survivorship, breast cancer screening, and generalized breast health concerns. She emphasizes the importance of health screening and preventative health measures in her practice in addition to the care of women’s menopausal and sexual health needs.

Angela truly believes in caring for her patients as they were family and wants her patients to feel that. Outside of work, she is a wife and a mother to 4 wonderful sons. She enjoys being outdoors and gardening and makes daily exercise and a healthy diet a priority.
