Tuesday is for Triage! Meet Our Wonderful Triage Department at Oakland Macomb!
Chances are, if you’ve been an Oakland Macomb patient for any amount of time, you’ve talked to one of our wonderful Triage Department practitioners over the phone.
“Triage” is Latin for “juggling 1,000 things at once while wearing a headset and a smile.”
Well, not really, but it should be.
We are a large practice that has the privilege of caring for many patients. The friendly and knowledgeable practitioners in the Triage Department are a big part of what keeps the practice running smoothly and our patients receiving optimal, efficient care.
These folks have vast experience in women’s healthcare and are a WEALTH of information on all things obstetrical and gynecological. They answer your questions and help you quickly when you call. They also call you to discuss your test results and walk you through any additional required management. They work closely with our MD’s and midwives to give you the highest quality, thorough, prompt care.
The Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioners and Midwife who manage the triage department also see patients in the office, so you may have the pleasure of receiving their care in person, as well as over the phone! They provide gynecological care to women of all ages, which includes pap smears, breast exams, contraceptive counseling, evaluation of menstrual irregularities and menopausal symptoms, and several also help manage obstetrics patients and some have their own areas of interest and specialization, too.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to meet them in person, and are wondering who it is on the other end of the phone, please review their profiles and check out the website to learn more about Marybeth Hodapp, CNM, Kathy Hoffman, PA-C, Threasa Walser, RNC, MSN, WHNP, BC, Sarah Sharp, WHNP, Shelly Sprain, FNP, Diana Cook, MA and Becky Bradford, MA!
Now you know a little bit about the practitioners who are calling you or who you talk to when you call the office. They are a wonderful group of providers and you are in good hands! Or…ears…when they’re providing care over the phone?
Anyway, we appreciate all that they do!
